Salad
Big breakfast, sadly..it is not from Mcdonalds. Haa
It would normally be a truck load of vegetables, 2 eggs ( depends on how i cook them ) and 1 fruit for my breakfast. Having starchy carbohydrates sort of makes me sleepy at the later part of the day, so, i chose to stick to fibrous carbohydrates. At the same time, get the nutrients and vitamins into my body.
If i didn't remember wrongly, i read from the papers that it wouldn't be wise to consume more than 3 eggs in a week. Well, i have 2 per day, making that 14 eggs per week, Haa. For the eggs, i microwaved it for 40 secs, having the eggs in the microwave for more than 50 secs EXPLODE them, i am speaking from experience and i had to clean up the mess Haa ! Few drops of dark soy sauce and generous amount of white pepper on the eggs, stir and eat. This is what we do in coffee shops in Singapore ( this part is for foreigners living out of Singapore if there are any reading my blog ).
Salad dressing by the side is for dipping, i don't usually pour it over my greens. It has too many calories, i used it just to flavour them. On normal days, i'd make my own salad dressing by mixing various kinds of condiments together. As for today, i craved for thousand island dressing and was too lazy to stir up a dip =)
Ingredients :
1 carrot, 1 cup of tomatoes, 3 sticks of mini cucumber, bunch of local lettuce ( yucks, they tasted bitter ), 1/2 a grapefruit and 2 eggs.
